The world of rock and heavy metal is in mourning as iconic frontman Ozzy Osbourne, often referred to as the "Prince of Darkness," has sadly passed away at the age of 76. A true pioneer of heavy metal and one of the most influential figures in the genre’s history, Ozzy leaves behind a monumental legacy that spans over five decades.

Born John Michael Osbourne on December 3, 1948, in Birmingham, England, Ozzy rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the groundbreaking band Black Sabbath, whose dark, heavy sound helped define the very essence of metal music in the early 1970s. With timeless classics like Paranoid, Iron Man, and War Pigs, Black Sabbath laid the foundations for countless metal bands to come.

After parting ways with the band in 1979, Ozzy launched a highly successful solo career that brought the world hits such as Crazy Train, Mr. Crowley, and No More Tears.
